Pakistan has strengthened health surveillance and airport screening measures following growing concerns over the recent Ebola virus outbreak in parts of Africa. The move comes after the World Health Organization raised global concern regarding the spread of the deadly virus.

According to the Ministry of National Health Services, Regulations and Coordination, authorities have intensified precautionary measures at airports across the country to reduce the risk of the virus entering Pakistan through international travel.

Officials stated that Health Minister Mustafa Kamal has directed all relevant departments to immediately implement strict screening protocols at airports nationwide. The measures are aimed at identifying suspected cases early and strengthening monitoring systems for incoming passengers from affected regions.

Airport health authorities have reportedly been instructed to enhance passenger screening, conduct health assessments where necessary, and coordinate closely with immigration and aviation officials.
