Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir, Chief of Army Staff (COAS), hosted a high-profile dinner to honour Pakistan’s civilian leadership, armed forces, and the people for their unwavering resolve during Marka-e-Haq and Operation Bunyanum Marsoos, the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) confirmed.

The event brought together the nation’s most influential figures. Among the attendees were President Asif Ali Zardari, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, Deputy Prime Minister Ishaq Dar, senior members of the cabinet, Senate and National Assembly leaders, as well as top military officials including the Chairman Joint Chiefs of Staff Committee, Air Chief, and Naval Chief.

Also in attendance were governors, chief ministers, and senior leaders of major political parties, reflecting the significance of national unity during critical times.

In his address, COAS Asim Munir highlighted the importance of inter-institutional collaboration, noting that operational success in Operation Bunyanum Marsoos was the result of flawless coordination between Pakistan’s military branches.

General Munir emphasized the role of Pakistan’s youth and national media in combating India’s disinformation campaigns. He referred to their efforts as a “steel wall against misinformation,” underlining their essential role in preserving national morale.

He also commended scientists, engineers, and diplomats, calling their behind-the-scenes efforts critical in securing national interests and maintaining global credibility during turbulent times.
