Open Court Sessions Announced
On the directive of Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, the National Database and Registration Authority (NADRA) will hold open court sessions in Karachi on Thursday, August 29, 2025. The initiative is designed to directly address citizens’ concerns regarding CNICs, NICOPs, B-Forms, and Family Registration Certificates (FRCs) while providing on-the-spot facilitation.
Locations and Timings
According to NADRA’s announcement, two sessions will be held at key Karachi centers:
- Mega Centre SITE Industrial Area, Siemens Chowrangi Zone – 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM
- Mega Centre, Plot D 1-15, Block L, District Central, North Nazimabad Zone – 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM
Residents are encouraged to attend the location nearest to them and to bring necessary documents for swift resolution of their issues.
Enhancing Transparency and Access
NADRA emphasized that these sessions are part of its wider effort to strengthen public engagement, improve service delivery, and ensure transparency. Officials will listen to complaints, resolve queries, and highlight the range of services now available digitally.
Digital Expansion through Pak-ID
The authority also reminded citizens of its upgraded Pak-ID mobile application, which allows users to apply for CNICs and FRCs, upload documents, track application status, and complete payments digitally. This initiative particularly benefits overseas Pakistanis who can now avoid unnecessary travel to NADRA centers.
Recently, a status tracking feature was introduced to the app, further reducing the need for physical visits.
