Karachi Police Discover Body of Actress Humaira Asghar Ali During Court-Mandated Eviction

A disturbing scene unfolded in Karachi’s upscale Defence Phase 6 area on Tuesday when police, executing a court order to vacate a rented flat, discovered the deceased body of actress Humaira Asghar Ali.

Authorities say officers and a court-appointed bailiff arrived at the flat in Ittehad Commercial Area around mid-afternoon. After repeated knocks went unanswered, they forcibly entered the premises and found the body lying on the floor. The flat had been the actor’s residence for the last seven years, during which time she lived alone.

Police confirmed that the eviction was part of an ongoing rental dispute, initiated by the property owner due to long-standing unpaid dues. Ali had apparently not been in contact with anyone recently, and her sudden death came as a shock to both law enforcement and members of the entertainment industry.

A forensic team was dispatched to the scene to gather critical evidence. The body was subsequently moved to the hospital for a post-mortem examination. Investigators stated that only the autopsy would reveal whether her death was due to natural causes or other circumstances.

Humaira Asghar Ali gained public attention through her appearance on the reality show Tamasha Ghar, and also starred in the 2015 crime thriller Jalaibee. Her social media presence had dwindled over the past year, although she remained an admired figure among fans of Pakistani television.

Her death echoes the recent passing of another actress, Ayesha Khan, who was found dead in her apartment in Gulshan-e-Iqbal just weeks earlier. These incidents have sparked concern about the silent struggles many actors face behind the scenes.
