Gold prices in Pakistan continued their upward trend on Wednesday, reflecting movements in the international market. According to the All-Pakistan Gems and Jewellers Sarafa Association (APGJSA), the price of gold per tola increased by Rs. 3,700, reaching Rs. 543,262.

Similarly, 10-gram gold was sold at Rs. 465,759, marking a rise of Rs. 3,172. On Tuesday, gold had already experienced a notable increase, with the per tola price climbing to Rs. 539,562 following a gain of Rs. 6,200 during the day.

Experts attribute the continued appreciation to global market trends, including fluctuations in international gold prices, foreign exchange rates, and economic indicators affecting investor sentiment. The rising demand for gold as a hedge against inflation and economic uncertainty has also contributed to the upward movement in local prices.

Jewellers in major cities have reported increased activity as consumers and investors react to the rising rates. Many are advising customers to monitor international trends closely before making purchases, given the volatility in gold prices.

The APGJSA regularly updates gold rates across Pakistan, providing benchmarks for both retail buyers and investors. The continued rise signals that gold remains a preferred investment for preserving wealth amid fluctuating economic conditions.

Analysts suggest that if international trends continue, local gold prices may approach or even exceed Rs. 550,000 per tola in the coming days, though market volatility could also trigger temporary corrections.
