‘Deemak’ Creates Buzz in Houston with Star-Studded Red Carpet and Full House Screening

After dominating the box office in Pakistan, Geo Films’ blockbuster Deemak has taken its success overseas with a dazzling red-carpet premiere in Houston, Texas, during the Halloween season. The film, which has already earned over Rs200 million domestically, continues to captivate audiences abroad, blending horror, realism, and emotional storytelling.

The grand screening took place at the Star Cinema Grill, drawing an overwhelming turnout from the Pakistani, Indian, and South Asian communities in Houston—often dubbed “Mini Pakistan” for its vibrant cultural presence. Excitement filled the venue as the film’s cast and crew arrived to celebrate the movie’s expanding global reach.

Leading stars Faysal Quraishi and Sonya Hussyn graced the red carpet alongside director Rafay Rashdi, producer Syed Murad Ali, and a host of Pakistani entertainment icons, including Aijaz Aslam, Adnan Siddiqui, and Mohib Mirza. Fans gathered to catch glimpses of their favorite stars while celebrating a proud moment for Pakistani cinema on international soil.

Speaking to the media, Faysal Quraishi shared his appreciation for the warm reception: “I hope Deemak receives the same love in America as it did in Pakistan. This film is redefining the identity of our cinema.” His statement reflected a growing sense of pride in Pakistan’s evolving film industry and its global recognition.

Sonya Hussyn announced that Deemak will officially release across the United States on November 17, adding, “It’s already the highest-grossing horror film in Pakistan, and I’m thrilled to see the same appreciation from the desi audience here.”

Event promoter Rehan Siddiqi praised the film’s storytelling and production value, calling it “exceptional in every way.” Actor Aijaz Aslam also highlighted Deemak’s distinction, saying it “stands on another level with world-class direction and a story inspired by true events.”

Director Rafay Rashdi described the project as “a small but sincere artistic effort,” while producer Syed Murad Ali thanked overseas audiences for their overwhelming response, expressing confidence that Deemak will perform well in the US, Canada, and Europe.

As Halloween excitement swept across North America, Deemak offered South Asian audiences a uniquely thrilling experience — a film that blends fear, culture, and emotional depth. More than just a horror movie, it symbolizes creativity, innovation, and the artistic resurgence of Pakistani cinema on the world stage.
