Citi Pharma Approves Rs. 2 Billion IPO for Veterinary Subsidiary

Citi Pharma Limited has announced plans to launch an initial public offering (IPO) for its wholly owned subsidiary, Citi Veterinary Pharma Limited. The company aims to raise between Rs. 1.0 billion and Rs. 2.0 billion through the offering.

In a material information notice submitted to the Pakistan Stock Exchange on March 3, 2026, Citi Pharma confirmed that its Board of Directors has formally approved the IPO process. The move reflects the company’s strategy to expand capital for its animal health business.

The Board has appointed K Trade Securities Limited as Consultant to Issue, tasked with overseeing the IPO and facilitating the listing of the subsidiary at the earliest opportunity. Officials emphasized that the offering is part of Citi Pharma’s broader efforts to strengthen operations and capture growth in the veterinary pharmaceutical sector.

Citi Veterinary Pharma Limited specializes in producing medicines, vaccines, and other health products for livestock and companion animals. The IPO proceeds are expected to support expansion of manufacturing capacity, research and development, and market reach both locally and regionally.

Financial analysts note that the move signals confidence in Pakistan’s animal health market, which has shown steady growth due to increasing livestock production, veterinary care awareness, and demand for quality pharmaceutical products. Listing the subsidiary will also provide transparency and allow investors to participate directly in its growth story.

Market observers are anticipating the official IPO timeline, subscription structure, and pricing details. Once listed, Citi Veterinary Pharma will become one of the few publicly traded companies in Pakistan focused exclusively on animal health.
