Armenia is introducing a significant travel facilitation policy for 2026, allowing nationals of 113 countries to enter visa-free between January 1 and July 1. Under the new temporary regime, eligible visitors can stay in the country visa-free for up to 180 days within a year, provided they hold a valid residence permit from specified jurisdictions.

To qualify, travellers must present a residence permit valid for at least six months upon entry, with the document formatted in Latin characters and following the Gregorian calendar system.

The policy applies to those holding residence permits issued by major regions and countries, including the United States, European Union member states, Schengen Area countries, the United Arab Emirates, Bahrain, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, and Oman. Eligible visitors from the 113-country list can enjoy hassle-free entry, making Armenia an attractive destination for tourism, business, and cultural exchange.

Among the beneficiaries of this temporary visa-free access are citizens from countries like Pakistan, India, Canada, Egypt, Malaysia, Sri Lanka, South Africa, and many others across Africa, Asia, the Americas, and Oceania. The full list includes a wide range of nations, underscoring Armenia’s effort to connect with global travellers and foster international mobility.

This move reflects Armenia’s strategy to boost its tourism sector and enhance its global connectivity. For those not meeting the residence permit criteria, Armenia continues to offer an e-Visa system, with 21-day and 120-day options available online for set fees.
