Gold prices in Pakistan showed an unusual level of stability on Tuesday, remaining unchanged despite recent fluctuations in the international precious metals market.
According to rates issued by the All-Pakistan Gems and Jewellers Sarafa Association (APGJSA), the price of 24-karat gold remained at Rs437,536 per tola on October 6, 2026. The rate was unchanged from the previous session.
The latest development comes after gold recorded a gain of Rs1,200 per tola on Monday. That increase pushed the local gold price to Rs437,536, where it remained throughout Tuesday’s reported trading session.
The price of 10-gram 24-karat gold also remained stable at Rs375,116, according to the APGJSA rates reported by market sources.
The international gold market was also relatively steady. Gold was reported around $4,150 per ounce, while another market report placed spot gold near $4,152 per ounce during Tuesday’s trading.
The stability in local prices comes after significant movements in Pakistan’s gold market during recent weeks. Gold prices have repeatedly moved higher and lower in response to changes in international bullion prices and broader market conditions.
For buyers and sellers, the unchanged rate means there was no fresh increase in the official per-tola price on Tuesday. However, market prices can change quickly when international gold rates, currency movements or other economic factors shift.
Silver prices also remained unchanged in Pakistan. According to the latest reported rates, 24-karat silver was priced at Rs6,588 per tola, while the 10-gram rate stood at Rs5,648.
The precious metals market continues to attract close attention from Pakistani consumers, investors and jewelers. Gold is widely used for jewelry purchases as well as a store of value, making daily price movements important for households planning purchases.
The current gold rate also reflects how closely Pakistan’s local bullion market follows developments in international markets. Changes in global gold prices can eventually influence domestic rates, although the local price can also be affected by currency movements and market conditions within Pakistan.
For consumers planning to purchase gold jewelry, it is important to remember that the quoted bullion rate does not necessarily represent the final retail price. Jewelry buyers may also have to pay making charges and other costs depending on the product and jeweler.
With gold holding at Rs437,536 per tola, market participants will be watching the next international price movements for signs of where local rates could head next.
