Accompanied by his emotional grandmother, Savita Chhibber, Aryan accepted the honour with gratitude and humility. In his speech, he thanked his cast, crew, and Netflix for trusting a first-time director and working with dedication and enthusiasm.
“This is my first award, and I hope I win many more because, just like my dad, I really love awards,” Aryan said. However, he dedicated the win to his mother, saying, “This award is for my mom, because she always tells me to sleep early, not to make fun of people, and absolutely no abusive language… today, I received this award for all those very things. Thank you for making my mom the happiest woman in the world.”
The ceremony took an emotional turn when Savita Chhibber was invited to speak. Overwhelmed with joy, she called Aryan her “most loved grandson” and expressed pride in seeing him recognized for his talent. Aryan reciprocated the affection, promising that his next award would be dedicated to her and touching her feet as a mark of respect—a heartfelt moment that resonated with the audience.
