Amina Malik Opens Up About the Pain of Three Miscarriages and Life Beyond Acting

Pakistani actress and television host Amina Malik has opened up about one of the most difficult chapters of her life, sharing the pain of enduring three miscarriages and the profound emotional toll that followed. Speaking candidly on Samaa TV’s morning show Subh Samaa Ka Sath with host Madeha Naqvi, Amina revealed how the heartbreaking experiences reshaped her perspective on motherhood, mental health, and life beyond showbiz.

Amina recounted that she went through three consecutive pregnancy losses, including the trauma of delivering babies who were stillborn. “It was the most painful time of my life,” she said, recalling the loss of a seven-month-old and a five-month-old pregnancy, along with another tragedy in 2020. The actress explained that she already had one daughter before these devastating events and later gave birth to her younger daughter — an experience that brought both healing and acceptance.

Following these painful losses, Amina made the difficult decision not to try for more children. She admitted that dealing with societal pressure to expand her family added to her distress, saying she would no longer tolerate intrusive comments about having more children. “If they asked for children now, I would slap them,” she said firmly, underscoring her boundaries after years of emotional exhaustion.

During the interview, Amina also spoke about her parenting principles, emphasizing the importance of raising grounded children in a world of convenience and excess. She shared that she avoids giving her daughters processed food, preferring to serve homemade meals even when guests visit. For her, discipline and simplicity are vital components of good parenting.

The actress also discussed her strong sense of values, saying she cannot tolerate dishonesty and prefers straightforward, transparent relationships. Shifting to mental health, she encouraged people to seek professional help rather than confiding solely in friends or relatives, explaining that casual venting can sometimes worsen emotional struggles instead of resolving them.

Amina went on to advise fellow actresses to focus on financial independence and long-term security. “Save money and invest,” she said, stressing the need for stability in an unpredictable industry. She also urged producers to support women who shoulder family responsibilities. Revealing her next step beyond acting, Amina shared her plans to venture into real estate, though she kept details under wraps for now.

Amina Malik’s candid conversation offered a rare glimpse into her personal resilience and professional wisdom. Known for powerful performances in dramas like Mera Dil Mera Dushman, Mayi Ri, Laapata, Khaas, and Bebaak, Amina has earned respect for her versatility and authenticity. Her recent role in ARY Digital’s Sher received critical acclaim, reaffirming her status as one of Pakistan’s most admired actresses.

Having married at 20, Amina is now the proud mother of two daughters and continues to balance family life with a thriving media career. From her early modeling days to hosting and acting, her journey reflects strength, self-awareness, and an unshakable belief in personal growth.
