10 Fully Funded Scholarships in Morocco for Pakistani Students Announced

The Kingdom of Morocco has introduced an exciting scholarship opportunity for Pakistani and AJK nationals, offering 10 fully funded slots for higher education in the 2025–26 academic session. The Higher Education Commission (HEC) of Pakistan shared the news, creating a unique chance for students to pursue their academic dreams abroad.

The scholarships cover a wide array of disciplines such as Medicine, Engineering, Management Sciences, Veterinary Sciences, and Architecture. Opportunities are available for undergraduate, master’s, and PhD studies. However, candidates must meet strict eligibility requirements, which include academic benchmarks and age limitations.

To qualify, undergraduate candidates must have completed at least 12 years of education (FSc or A-level) and be no older than 23 years. Master’s candidates require 16 years of education, while PhD candidates must have 18 years of relevant education. Applicants also need to provide a valid HAT or USAT score, which will be used to shortlist candidates for further consideration.

Since French is widely used as the medium of instruction in Moroccan universities for most science and technology courses, successful applicants will need to undergo a French language orientation course. This orientation, scheduled during 2024–25, may be conducted through local centers like the Alliance Française. Those interested in fields such as Arabic Language or Islamic Studies must already be proficient in Arabic.

The online application process for these scholarships is straightforward. Interested students must submit their applications at scholarship.hec.gov.pk by Thursday, 12 June 2025, at 4:00 PM PST. At this stage, no hard copies of documents are required. However, candidates shortlisted for interviews will be asked to provide necessary documents like academic transcripts, a personal statement, letters of recommendation, a medical certificate, police clearance, and an NOC if employed.

A critical advisory from HEC reminds applicants aiming for professional degrees such as Medicine, Engineering, and Law to ensure that their foreign degrees align with standards set by Pakistan’s regulatory bodies. This includes the Pakistan Medical and Dental Council (PMDC), Pakistan Engineering Council (PEC), and Pakistan Bar Council (PBC). The PMDC has shared detailed guidelines for medical admissions in foreign institutions, which prospective students must carefully review.

This scholarship program not only offers academic enrichment but also strengthens diplomatic and educational ties between Pakistan and Morocco.
