Amitabh Bachchan, the legendary Bollywood actor, has decided to skip the upcoming Comic Con India event, where he was supposed to promote his new sci-fi film ‘Kalki 2898 AD’.
The reason behind his absence is that he is suffering from a severe throat infection, which has affected his voice and made it difficult for him to speak. Bachchan, who plays the role of a futuristic warrior in ‘Kalki 2898 AD’, has been advised by his doctors to rest his voice and avoid any public appearances until he recovers.
The film, which is based on the Hindu myth of Kalki, the tenth and final avatar of Vishnu, is slated to release on August 15, 2023.
The film’s director, Rajkumar Hirani, has expressed his disappointment over Bachchan’s absence, but has also wished him a speedy recovery. He said that Bachchan’s performance in the film is phenomenal and that he hopes the fans will enjoy it.
